ORIGIN 

It all started in 1967, when Isidro Pereira, Luis Paul's father, bought the farm.

At the time, Luiz was still studying agriculture and cattle breeding.

Five years later, the father and son joined forces to take care of the farm together. In 1974, they decided to further develop and expand the IP farm. With the growing area of the farm on the current 720 hectares, the area where coffee was grown also grew. Today, coffee is grown on about 300 hectares. Other crops such as bananas, maize and soybeans are grown in other areas. At present, the farm is already implementing modern coffee processing techniques.

Farm staff are trained in these processes so that everyone understands the importance of all the steps in growing and processing coffee cherries.

Thanks to this, we managed to achieve a rating for all coffees from this farm - selected coffee. 

CULTIVATION

Coffee trees are planted in slightly hilly terrain with fertile soil.
Altitude 950 - 1200m.n.m. and enough moisture guarantees a stable harvest every year.
Other varieties grown here in addition to our Yelloow Catuai are Yelloow Bourbon, Yellow Catucaí and Acaia.

VARIETY

Mundo Novo is a larger variety of coffee with medium-small grains. 
This plant thrives in middle positions around 1000 -1300m.n.m ..
The coffee tree was grown by crossing the Typica and Bourbon varieties at the Brazilian Agronomic Institute.

PROCESSING

Coffee from the IP farm is processed by traditional methods for this area - natural, pulp natural and fermentado.
In this case, the coffee cherries are dried on the terraces in direct sunlight after harvest.
After reaching approx. 11% moisture, the grains are peeled from the pulp and ready for further sorting and cleaning.
The coffee is packed in 60 kg jute bags with a special GrainPro liner. 

TASTE PROFILE

Coffee has a very pleasant low acidity. Its taste is very pure with a clear character.
The taste is dominated by nuts, almonds and dark cocoa.
Fine buttery body complemented by the aroma of baked chocolate body.
